4/1/2009 Casa Corcovado/Osa Peninsula, scuba dive with Cano Divers, snorkeling for me, pool, Sunset Point, dinner at the resort

Breakfast 7:00 am.  Scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, juice, coffee.

Richard has his dive gear.  Richard will dive with Cano Divers.  His first dive was El Barco/Cano Island.  He saw black tip sharks, large rays, dolphins, numerous fish, and coral.  After sufficient interval time his second dive was Devil's Rock/Cano Island.  Here he saw white tip sharks, large rays, large school of jacks.

I went snorkeling with Casa Corcovado.  First stop for snorkeling is the Garden.  Water is calm, lots of fish, huge Pacific sea turtle.  However I missed seeing the white tip shark and the rays.  It was enjoyable.

We have lunch on Cano Island.  I'm there with the rest of the snorkelers when Richard arrives on the dive boat.  Lunch is roast beef/cheese/lettuce/tomato sandwiches, pasta salad, artichokes/carrots/cucumber.  Dessert was cookie and white/chocolate cake.  Drinks-water, coke.  Delicious.  The beach here is nice.  We swim around.  Heading back to the lodge on the Casa Corcovado boat we spotted an eagle ray jumping out of the water and lots of dolphins.

Back at the lodge we spend time at the pool.  At the gift shop I bought a T shirt for 8812.37 colones.  Sunset Point again.  Cloudy again so I didn't take any pictures.   Imperial beer, margarita.  Cost 4595.58 colones.

Another guest practicing on how to snorkel?

Dinner is another lovely experience.  First was cold tomato lime soup and a vegetable appetizer.  We both chose the chicken, fingerling potatoes, green beans.  Dessert was a very creamy vanilla ice cream.

Tomorrow we have an option to go on a bird watch hike at 5:30 am.  I think we'll do that.
